Background & Education

Dr. Weichbrodt graduated in 1979 from Baylor University Cum Laude with Honors, earning BA/BS degrees in Biology and Literature. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1983. By 1988, he completed a five‑year residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at West Virginia College of Medicine in Charleston. He transitioned to Georgia in 1988, where he focused on psychiatric practice.

Follow‑up treatment fees are based on the current Georgia Workers Compensation Fee Schedule.

Office Policies

Appointments: Call during business hours to schedule. Appointments fill quickly, so please schedule immediately after your last appointment.
Missed / Canceled Appointments: A no‑show fee of $35.00 will be charged. Please cancel at least 48 hours in advance to avoid fees.
Payment: Payment is expected before appointments. Use Tebra’s patient portal to pay any balances. Payment plans are available—speak with our office manager.
Prescriptions: Refills are called in the day of your appointment. Delays may occur due to insurance prior authorizations. We complete required forms promptly but must wait for insurer approval.
Temporary Refills: If you miss a follow‑up, a temporary refill may be called in until your next appointment. A $50.00 fee applies. See new‑patient forms for our complete policy.
Emergencies: Call 911 or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the nearest emergency room. For inpatient psychiatric care, Peachford Hospital offers emergency assessments. Our voicemail key-in system provides contact information for urgent needs or the covering psychiatrist.
